Whitsunday workshop focuses on responsible tourism

More than 50 Whitsunday tourism operators, managers and crew will brush up on responsible tourism at a free workshop in Airlie Beach today (Wednesday 4 May 2006).
The first Get Onboard Industry Training Workshop, conducted by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, will keep the tourism industry up-to-date with all they need to know about operating in the Marine Park.
It covers Marine Parks Permits, best practice interpretation, other issues nominated by the tourism industry, and gives crew an opportunity to become more involved in Marine Park initiatives.
