Library and Image Services
Welcome to the Library of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority - an information service of major international significance on natural resource management, especially marine park management.
The Library aims to provide a proactive and effective information service which supports the overall goal and aims of the Authority, and which also meets the information needs of our clients. While the collection's emphasis is the sustainable management of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, other important subjects are marine protected area planning and management, environmental impact assessment and monitoring, coral reef ecology, environmental law and World Heritage.
The REEF bibliographic database is managed by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority. REEF indexes material on or about the Great Barrier Reef, and is available online or on cd-rom from RMIT Publishing - Informit. REEF is Australia's largest single bibliographic source to the Great Barrier Reef.
