Reef Education Initiative
Education and stewardship programs play an important part in raising awareness and encouraging on ground action to protect the Great Barrier Reef.
Through the highly successful Reef Guardians Program, the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority has a network of schools and local government councils committed to protecting the Reef.
Whilst the Reef Guardian Schools and Councils Program is only available along the Great Barrier Reef catchment area, resources are available to assist all schools and councils to be environmentally aware.
