Cairns Premier Reef and Island Tours - Application to relocate under the Marine Tourism Contingency Plan

Next Step
The GBRMPA will consider all comments raised in public submissions during finalisation of the assessment process as required by Regulation 88Q and 88R of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Regulations 1983.

A decision on the application was made on 09 May 2011 and can be viewed under the recent decisions link.
Gladstone Regional Council - Application for a permit to install, operate and maintain an intake and outfall pipeline as part of the proposed Agnes Water / Seventeen Seventy Integrated Water Project
The application went through a public consultation process and a summary report on that process was prepared by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA).
As part of that public consultation process, the applicant prepared a Public Information Package on the project.
A decision was made in December 2009 and gazetted on 13 January 2010.

Koala Resort Pty Ltd - Installation of Private Moorings Bauer Bay, South Molle Island

The GBRMPA prepared Draft Site Management Arrangements for the location of moorings in Bauer Bay. As a result of the public consultation process, the Draft Site Management Arrangements are currently under review.
Laguna Island Adventures Pty Ltd T/A - Application to install eight moorings in waters adjacent to Hook Island Resort, Whitsunday Island
An application was received for the installation and operation of mooring facilities in waters adjacent to the Underwater Observatory and the Wilderness Resort at Hook Island (Whitsunday Islands).
The application went through a public consultation process and the GBRMPA have prepared a summary report on that process.
A decision was made in August 2005.

Arlington Pearls Pty Ltd - Application for Tourism Pontoon at Arlington Reef
The GBRMPA has refused an application by Arlington Pearls Pty Ltd, to install and operate a tourist pontoon at Arlington Reef. The application has been through a public consultation process and the GBRMPA have prepared a summary report on that process.
