The proposed jetty will be 119 metres to the tee head and will have 19 piles. At the tee head there will be a 20 metre gangway leading to a 16.5 metre x 8 metre pontoon which is anchored to the seabed via a seaflex mooring system with the anchor being via concrete blocks.

Persons who believed that Keswick Island jetty proposal may restrict their reasonable use of part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park were invited to lodge written comments on the proposal by 12 November 2010, this consultation period has now closed.
