Tourism and Recreation Reef Advisory Committee members
The Tourism and Recreation Reef Advisory Committee (TRRAC) provides advice to the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA) and, in particular, the Tourism and Recreation Section.
The TRRAC usually meets three times each year, generally in Townsville.
Who’s on the Committee
The TRRAC is a competency-based committee with members providing a cross-section of stakeholder expertise and interests in areas relevant to tourism and recreation use of the Great Barrier Reef. There is an independent Chairman. The Committee is appointed for a three-year period. The Committee is supported by the GBRMPA's General Manager, Marine Park Management and Director, Tourism and Recreation (and any other relevant Director), who attend each meeting.
