Ecosystem Reef Advisory Committee members
The Ecosystem Reef Advisory Committee (ERAC) provides advice to the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA) and, in particular, the Ecosystem Conservation and Sustainable Use Section.
The ERAC will meet twice each year, generally in Townsville.
Who’s on the Committee
The ERAC is a competency-based committee with members providing a cross-section of stakeholder expertise and interests in areas relevant to the ecologically sustainable use of the Great Barrier Reef. There is an independent Chairman. The Committee is appointed for a three-year period. The Committee is supported by the GBRMPA's General Manager, Environment and Sustainability and Director, Ecosystem Conservation and Sustainable Use (and any other relevant Director), who attend each meeting.
