Continued Increase in East Australian Humpback Whales in 2001 and 2002

Paterson et al (2004) conducted shore-based surveys during 2001 and 2002 using previous survey techniques and estimated that the stock size of east Australian humpback whales in 2002 was 4860 for a 10.5% increase or 4900 for a 10.8% increase.
