Diamond Stingray dreaming

"I wanted Uncle to tell me the stories too.  Like who made Shelburne Bay?

'Ah, Diamond Stingray,' the old man answered.  'A Diamond Stingray called Yawa.  That Yawa, or some say Iwayi the Manta ray, he been go from Pascoe River with Liwaya the crocodile.  By canoe.  Outside Shelburne Bay, the canoe capsize, turn over.  And crocodile, he swam towards the Cape.  Go up Torres Strait this Liwaya.  But Yawa (or Iwayi), he drowned.  He drift, drift, drift until he get stuck on the bay.  He stuck on his back and his belly shine.  And that's why today that white sand dune still there.  That what's-a-name is Yawa.'"
