15 year permits
The GBRMPA currently recognises the ECO Certification program run by Ecotourism Australia and offers 15 year permits to operations certified to the Ecotourism or Advanced Ecotourism levels of accreditation.
The 15-year permits are provided for under the policy on Managing Tourism Permissions to Operate in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park (Including Allocation, Latency and Tenure).
