The Great Barrier Reef Image Collection comprises over 70 000 spectacular images of reef life and activities. Some of these images are now available on the web for non-profit educational or personal use only. Approval is restricted to this purpose and these images only, and no fee will be charged for using them.
Copyright ownership resides in the Commonwealth of Australia, and credit must be given to the Authority when any of these images are being reproduced in any format, electronic or otherwise (for example - Photographs courtesy of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority). These images are protected under the Copyright Act 1968. Breach of copyright is both illegal and immoral. Penalties apply for breach of copyright.
