Published every five years, the 2019 Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority's Outlook Report examines the Great Barrier Reef's health, pressures, and likely future. The 2019 report is the third comprehensive report in the series, and identifies the Great Barrier Reef Region still faces significant pressures ranging in scale from local to global.

Reef Beat activity book and video

This Reef Beat education series, threats to the Reef, encourages teachers and students to explore the Great Barrier Reef, threats to the Reef and ways to protect its health and improve its resilience. The series includes an activity book and five short videos.

Wetlands science curriculum unit

Our wetlands Australian science curriculum unit is a aimed at year seven level. Over approximately ten weeks, students will investigate different wetland types and will describe how wetlands are part of the water cycle. Students will identify, group and classify animals that live in wetlands and will recognise and understand the interactions between living things in food chains and food webs in a wetland, and how human activity can affect these interactions. Students will understand and investigate water health of a wetland and consider threats to wetland health and how to manage it.

Wetlands Reef Beat education series

The wetlands Reef Beat education series is aimed at all year levels and provides students and teachers with information about the connectivity between wetlands and the Great Barrier Reef. It has an attached resource book that contains activities for students of all ages.

River to Reef Reef Beat education series

The river to reef Reef Beat poster series provides students and teachers with information about the connectivity between rivers and the Great Barrier Reef. It is aimed at all year levels and has an attached resource book that contains activities for students of all ages.
