Overview
1. The agenda for this meeting was focused on the Proposed Terms of Reference for the strategic assessment of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
Great Barrier Reef Region Strategic Assessment – Proposed Terms of Reference
2. The Authority discussed the proposed Terms of Reference and the Report on public submissions received during the consultation phase.
Decision MPA 2012-222-1 (03/08/2012): The Authority endorsed the proposed Terms of Reference for the Great Barrier Reef Region Strategic Assessment for submission to the Minister for Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities and noted that minor amendments may be made to the proposed Terms of Reference, however, matters of substance will not be changed without reference to the Authority.
Next meeting
The next meeting is scheduled to be held in September 2012.
