Public consultation on the John Brewer Reef draft site plan

Site Plan Overview

The Authority has prepared a draft site plan for John Brewer Reef, offshore Townsville and welcomes community input on the proposed changes.

The purpose of the draft site plan is to allow multiple users to continue to use John Brewer Reef whilst maintaining the site’s natural, cultural and social values.

The draft site plan was prepared after targeted consultation with Manbarra Peoples and regular users of the site. These discussions have informed the development of the draft site plan.

To ensure the site continues to be enjoyed and accessed by all users, the proposed management strategies relate to new structures and annual tourism visitation.
